This soap has history.
African Black Soap has been used for centuries by people in African (specifically Ghana) for bathing as well as shampooing hair. Our soap is sustainably sourced from a fair trade village in Ghana that supports both women and children.Black soap comes from plants like plantain peels and cocoa pods. The process of creation is long and extensive including sun-drying, and roasting these ingredients.
This is the process that gives the soap it’s natural brown colour. Once roasted at a specific temperature the natural butters and oils are mixed together with the roasted ingredients and the soap is left for multiple weeks to cure.
This soap is pure and natural.
With simple ingredients found indigenously in Ghana.
